Hello! It would be greatly appreciated if more people from the *Accelerated* MSN could share their experiences. I wanted to know how manageable the program is, and how the pace is in the program. Is it TOO fast-paced, or at a level where it's just right? I have doubts about the program since it IS accelerated, and it's one step more (MSN). Will you actually retain information effectively by the end of it all? I am just worried about the *accelerated* part. Thanks!

I am in a generic MSN accelerated program, I'll write more here in a few days when I come off my clinical rotation. Honestly is a great route take. It as difficult as any nursing program, but u get more papers and EBP projects, etc to cover the masters part of it. A major key to this types of program is to know your place. I do not walk into clinical thinking I'm someone special, I'm a student who has a ton to learn from experienced nurses. We all are getting floor positions when we graduate, after a few years experiece most of us will/want to move into manager positions, go back to become NP's, CRNA's, so forth. To me it is worth it, they pour it on and expect you not to only cover the RN aspect but to push back and have you take the lead such as scheduling your hours, meeting with directors of hospitals to promote wellness changes..things like that...sorry I have done four 12 hour shifts in a row and typing on my I-Touch sucks..so if I'm confusing in some spots,sorry..if you have specific questions let me know..nite

nurse2033 meant what school are you at? Programs vary wildly and hearing about my accelerated program could be totally irrelevant to yours...
Ohhhhh haha.
I just wanted to know anyone's experience, really. I am not in a program yet, and I am still deciding. That's why I was hoping to read students' experiences in any type of accelerated MSN program.
Thanks for the reply!
@KeepnItReal Thank you so much for your reply! I really appreciate it. :)
