Hi, I have applied and I think my application is complete. I went to the open house in February and a lot of clinical managers gave everyone their cards with phone number and email address on them. I know this sounds stupid, but I don't know what to do with those cards. I know they must have hundreds of callers, and I hate to be one more. But if I don't call them, am I showing disinterest? What should I even say?
Any help will be good. Or if you're in the same boat, speak out.

Hi there,
I was wondering the same thing! I am from California and am highly interested in working for a magnet institution. I applied for the June cohort as well. Unfortunately, I could not attend the open house because I was already registered for continued learning at Stanford Hospital. Was the open house packed full of us new grads? :)
As far as I know, my application is complete too. I completed everything yesterday and my status currently says "Applied."
At this point, I am patiently crossing my fingers and toes. Keep me posted if anything develops on your end and I wish you the best of luck for this residency opportunity!
Have a wonderful day,

I had an interview already but haven't heard anything back. What is the update? Have you had an interview or offer?
I haven't gotten a call or interview. You're lucky to even get an interview. My application still says "routed." I think it's because I don't live in Texas. I've kind of put my life on hold because of this program. I live in an efficiency so I don't have to sign a lease here and I only take agency jobs. Now that I know that they've interviewed some people, I am going to take a real job and live in a real apartment.
Anyway, they are kind of obligated to tell you yay or nay once you've interviewed. I would call to get a definite answer if I were you.

I'm also not from TX and I've not heard anything... no interview request etc... and my status still says "routed". Is it safe to assume that I didn't get in?

I called today, and was informed by a nurse manager that their ICU positions were filled a couple of weeks ago. I don't know if that applies to every specialty area or just ICU. Guess I will keep my fingers crossed for October, or just an RN job in general:)

I also attended the open house and met with some of the hiring coordinators. I applied to the NICU, got an interview and was accepted. Hundreds of applicants but they only interviewed 15 in the NICU. There was only 7 positions open and I was fortunate to get one. If you have any questions I will try to answer them.
Congratulations!! Great job. Austin looks like such a great place to live. I know you will enjoy living there and working there for more than two years. I didn't apply for the NICU because neonatals scared of the beejesus out of me. I know you'll do well because you have a passion for it.
Yeah i'm looking forward to it. have they called you yet?
