Hello all,
Does the air force allow their active members to have cosmetic surgery such as abdominoplasty or do they accept someone how have had it?
I am thinking of getting one done after having my son. Now that I want to join the air force I am not sure if they accept applicants who have them done. Any advice is appreciated

Active duty military personnel certainly get all sorts of cosmetic procedures, such as breast reductions and rhinoplasties. Anecdotally, I've seen people simply say 'it's causing me emotional distress' and everything from braces to breast implants seems to get approved.
What is restricted for new military personnel is a whole different ball game. Just know that almost any major procedure or condition requires a waiver. You should ask a healthcare recruiter to see for sure.
To clarify, the medical standards for those attempting to join the military are far more strict than those already in the military. Getting an abdominoplasty probably wouldn't get you kicked out while you're already in the military. However, getting the procedure before you join, especially if there are complications, might prevent you from applying at all.
