Hi brenno, and welcome! Congratulations on both your course acceptance and the brilliant decision to move to Aus
UTS has a good reputation in general, but I don't know about the nursing aspect, only because I work in another state. You should find, once you've finished, that it doesn't really make too much of a difference though. At least half of what you need to know five years out you'll have from your clinical expereince, and at least a quarter of what you learned will be out of date :chuckle
Hi brenno,
UTS has an excellent reputation in nursing. There is a critical nursing shortage all over NSW so at this point it won't make a difference which university you go to. I am finishing my course this year and already have secured employment. Employment prospects after graduation are great. NSW has what is called a new graduate nursing consortium. Most of the NSW health services are a part of it. Most new grads find their jobs here http://www.nursecon.org.au/. Don't worry you will find a job. Hope this helps
Brenno,
As stated above ,UTS has a good reputation. About your employment chances here in sydney?. GOD !!!!! All hospitals will be begging you to work for them!!!!!!! OR nurses are in high demand ,[actually all nurses are] so don't worry, enjoy your training and have fun here in sunny OZ!!!!.Welcome to the country that is truely blessed!!
