Introduction and a few questions

Hi my name is Lindsey, and I am getting ready to start nursing school. I'm so incredibly excited, and overwhelmed.

I have been reading horror stories about passing out, throwing up, etc while in school. May I ask what from? I'm a little worried now. I mean, I know that the job can get gross, but I don't think I'd see anything that would make me physically sick or pass out? I bet I've just got a lot to learn.:wink2:

I'm glad I found somewhere to get information! Looking forward to talking to you guys more!

Hello and welcome! Anyway, I'm currently finishing up my senior year in nursing school..I've never thrown up and luckily none of my classmates have. I do have a bit of a weak stomach on certain things so dealing with the poop kinda grossed me out lol..its something I dont think I'll ever get use to (unless its little babies) but now I do what I gotta do and keep it moving. As far as passing out..never had that either. Some of my classmates have gotten kinda woozy when they saw alot of blood or a big needle..but myself personally..not so much. Blood and needles dont bother me at all so ive been good. You'll see alot, some things might gross you out..other things might make you wanna puke or get you a little woozy but you should be fine. And for alot of people, like myself, Ive never really seen anything that made me just freak out. But even if you do, after being exposed to it enough it will seem like small beans. Good luck!

welcome,,, so well maybe there are a few gross stuff that you may encounter,,, but hey,, who cares? its all part of the excitement of being in the nursing school... i nearly passed out in the delivery room, but hey,,, still it was a LOT of fun in nursing school... goodluck,,,
