OK, so I've taken Physical Anthro and Social Physchology. Does anyone know if these two that I've already taken would satisfy either intro to soc or cultural anthro???
Thanks!

Only your school can tell you that. I mean, usually intro classes can be replaced by 'general' classes like 'general sociology' can substitute for an 'intro' class.. but I don't know the difference between what you took (if any) and the general classes you're trying to accommodate. Definitely talk to someone at the school.
Thanks, admissions can't look at specific class taken at a 4 year university so it seems as if they leave it up to the student to make the call?! Very frustrating...I might need to call and chat with an advisor or something....would hate to waste money on taking another anthro class or soc class when one of the ones I took could be applied:)
I would think an academic adviser would be able to answer those questions. I mean, if it were up to the student wouldn't they always say, "Hey, this will work!". lol

I'm not sure on that. I took both and I think one of my "communication classes" was fufilled with the Intro to Soc and my Anthro filled something else when I transferred to my program. I'm happy I took both. Both were required all other schools I looked at.
Thanks! Now to decide which one to take...

Definitely talk to an ad visor from the program you want to enter to see what they recommend. My experience is that sometimes they can combine courses to give you credit for a single course, be sure to bring your syllabus when you talk to them though. I was able to get a Developmental Psych class to count for a Bio genetics requirement because the syllabus showed that we talked about the genetic implications on development all semester.
