Interviewing for scholarship to pay for nursing school...

and I need advice. It's a program where they pay for your schooling and for every year they do so you have to work for them. If anyone has had interviews like this and can give me some advice I would really appreciate it. People think one of the hardest parts is getting in the program but I think the hardest part is paying for it.

Just be yourself. I had a panel interview prior to getting my scholarship for the same type of situation. Basically they will ask you why you want to be a nurse, what you have enjoyed in clinicals, what has been most challenging, whether you see yourself as a leader, why you want to affiliate yourself with them, where you see yourself in five years etc - the usual stuff.

Poise, enthusiasm for nursing and your demeanor/hygiene/dress will be just as important as your answers. Be sure you research the facility and have questions prepared for them as well. I actually loved my panel interview- what could be more fun than sitting down to pick the brains of several advanced practice nurses at once? It was enjoyable - and needless to say, I got the scholarship :) Good luck!

Thanks so much for the advice. I was thinking so much about what they were going to ask me I never thought about what I might want to ask them. :)
