Interviewer didn't like me from the start?

I had an interview where the two interviewers didn't seem to like me from the start.

I had a sense that I was not welcomed at all. The clinical manager always had her arms crossed and stared me down the whole time. She didnt even shake my hand at the start. (Maybe she didn't see it)

Do I just give bad vibes? If this is the case, should I even pursue nursing?

I am starting to think I am just not likeable, even though I haven't done anything.

I worked so hard to prepare for this interview too. Drove through -20 degree weather(and crashed into snow) just to have a chance at a job.

    Don't read to much into it and jump to the conclusion that there is something wrong with you. Maybe she is just not a very friendly person ... or maybe she was just having a bad day ... or maybe she doesn't want to shake people's hands and possibly catch whatever virus they have.

    Regardless, you have to remember that while this interview was a big deal for you, it was a minor blip in her day. Don't place so much importance on one action -- or interaction -- or lack of action.

    It may be just a glimpse into what it is like to work there. Don't worry you want to feel good when you leave not the way you did. I would keep looking.

    Some people are just jerks. I once applied at a hospital a town over from where I live, the position I was applying for had already been filled but, the nurse recruiter begged me to come interview at another one of their hospitals 65 miles away because they were shorthanded. When I went for the interview the woman interviewing me took one look at my address on my resume then looked at me hateful and said sarcastically "Why, are you even here?!" and that was the end of the interview. So, I drove 130 miles for an interview to get fussed at for coming to an interview, Lol. I'm glad I didn't get that job.

    Consider that interview of premonition of what you would be working with had you been hired for that position. My experience with interviews in the past have told me to expect the unexpected. Many different styles of interviews are demonstrated, some upbeat, some quite earth-shattering. Chalk the experience up to poor management, and move forward. You will eventually find a facility that will be a good fit for you. Hold your head high, and show them you are confident. Good luck on your pursuit!
