Interview Questions...

Published

I have to go to class in the morning with a list of questions that I would ask at an interview. I need a list of 10 to turn in which is easy. But I am curious about what should be asked. Some things I have already are:

1. Is it possible for me to shadow someone for a day prior to committing myself to the position?

2. What is the nurse-patient ratio?

3. May I see a job description for the position we are discussing?

4.How will my performance be evaluated? How Often? And by whom?

5. How often are nursing conferences held on this floor?

6. How long is the orientation program?

7. What support staff would be available to me as a nurse on your unit?

8. What type of nursing is practiced here (team, primary, centralized, or decentralized)?

9. How are pay increases decided?

10. What other benefits are offered?

So I already have my list of 10, but I was wondering if there is anything else I should be thinking of. I have never been on an interview before and I did not know that I could ask questions too......lol. Thanks to my school for teaching us about interviews and resumes or I would be hopeless. lol. So anyways is there anything you guys would find to be an important question for a new grad to ask at an interview that I have not already mentioned?

thanks in advance for your reply!
