I have an interview soon in the O.R. and would appreciate any advise about the job interview for this position. I am a recent graduate with my BSN and this will be my first job as an R.N. What should I definitely know about the position going into the job interview, what to say, what not to say etc. I had quite a few rotations in the O.R. during nursing school and loved it and would love to nail this interview!! I haven't had a job interview for quite some time so any interview help would be appreciated!! Thanks!!

Hi,
I have been on a neuro/ortho unit for year and have an interview in a couple days for an OR novice program at a Universtiy Hospital. Ive done a lot of research about the role and attributes of an OR nurse. I feel confident that this is what I want to do but Im sooo nervous about the interview. Its a panel interview.
Any tips on questions other than why OR nurse and strengths/weakness? And or do you have any tips about these interview questions or about the interview?

Hi, I am currently orientating in the OR. They asked me why I wanted to be in OR...how I would deal with a difficult surgeon, if I could handle criticism or a difficult situation (asked for examples of how I have handled these type of situations in the past) apparently the surgeons can be very needy/difficult and downright mean sometimes. Also they asked me to describe my perception of what an OR nurse does on a day to day basis. Hope this helps...good luck!
