Interview for ED Volunteer, HELP

  • Specializes in Emergency Medicine, Cardiology. Has 4 years experience.

Hello ladies and gentleman, I recently applied to a volunteer program at a local regional hospital for their emergency department volunteer program. As of now I have four years experience as an EMT in the emergency setting as well clinical and am currently applying to various universities for BSN program entry.

My question today is as I am set to interview for the position this Friday, what can I expect question wise during the interview?I understand my duties will be VERY basic such as pt transport or restocking and i'm okay with that.

I have also been told that since I am being interviewed it's a great sign that i've already landed the position.

Typical important themes are teamwork, communication, and ethical/professional behavior. It's impossible to know what you'll be asked as these things aren't standardized, but just be yourself! Your enthusiasm will speak for itself. Good luck! :)
