Interview for a 1000 bed hospital, going there a day earlier to know where to go

I have a interview with a large hospital (1000 beds)

I want to go there a day earlier to get accustomed to the building. I want to walk around the halls to see where I am going on the real big day.

I was going to wear scrubs on the day that I am just going to walk in there to know where everything is at.

Please understand that walking around a hospital in scrubs but without employee identification can be viewed as highly suspicious. There are numerous security concerns not apparent to the average visitor. Please do not do this.

A large hospital may have printed maps easily accessible in the parking garage and/or main lobby, and probably also has greeters/security staff/parking attendants who can give you directions. If you feel you must go a day early, just familiarize yourself with the walk from parking/entrance - which elevator - the route to HR - the location of an easily accessible restroom - and possibly the cafeteria. Please do not walk around or through patient care areas - it is not appropriate. And still give yourself plenty of extra time on the day of your actual interview. Stuff happens, even if you know exactly where you are going -- road construction, slow elevator service, parking availability, etc.
