This fall I will be starting a year long Accelerated BSN program as an International student on an F-1 visa...Nursing has always been my passion and something I have wanted to pursue for a long time. I had the privilege of working with some caring, hardworking nurses when I was getting my bachelor's degree and that made me want to join this profession even more.
However, I have been second guessing my decision lately considering the current political atmosphere and the scarcity of places that are willing to sponsor a visa or even a green card. I studied in the US and have a bachelor's degree in Biology, so I have the option of pursuing a masters or PhD and going into the research field.
But nursing has always been my calling...and I don't know if I should give up on that dream. I am a hardworking student and I know I will be able to deal with the courseload. But I don't want all my time, effort and money to be for nothing in case I can't get a job here in the US.
Need some guidance, suggestions, success stories and resources !!!
