Hello People,
I just found out about this wonderful forum. I am speaking in behalf of my girlfriend who is an American citizen and that wants to finish up her nursing degree in Europe, preferably Spain (madrid). Can anybody speak from their own experiences? How does she become a nurse in another country? What are the requirements? Are there financial aid options? Is she able to work?
I know it is a difficult process living in another country, especially with the language barrier but we are up for the challenge! She has taken Spanish in high-school so she has her basics down.
- She finished all her college classes
- She wants to start nursing school in Europe and not in the USA.
- She has always had between a 3.8 and 4.0 GPA (Does this help for potential scholarships/loans?)
- She picks up language quickly (Her boyfriend is Dutch and has forced her to adapt quickly)
Any information would be so helpful for us. We need to make our decisions in the next months. Thanks again for your time and effort
Kind regards,
Courtney and Jonathan

Going overseas may cause issues when returning back to the US to live. Not all overseas training meets US requirements. Plus international fees will be high, student visa may have limitations on work and may have to prove that she can support herself whilst in study
