I am from California also and I check on the California broad of nursing seem like if the school is accredited and the clinical hours is matching California standard (800+ hours for RN), the endorsement process still be smooth, because the school are within the U.S. ICHS is accredited from Florida broad of nursing and ACCEN so I think the endorsement should work, I applied the school, because is so difficult to get into nursing school in California for LVN to RN bridge and the tuition is too much.

I finally made the decision to pursue ICHS last night at midnight. I just submitted an notification to get more info. I’m going to apply for October, regardless. I agree. I’m struggling with getting into a bridge program as well. I caved and sorta verbally planned out the possibilities of just committing to ICHS. If you don’t mind sharing, where in Cali are you from? I’m from the Central Valley.

I am from bay area San Francisco. All the private school here for the bridge program charge $100k, I think is too expensive to paid off even become an RN. ICHS offer online classes, flexible clincial schedule and cheaper tuition so I can keep my lvn job.

Thank you for the reassurance! Same question as below... what’s your schedule like, how often are you meeting virtually, and how has clinical been like?
Kuma1030, what’s the application process like? Are they pretty stern about prereqs, GPA? How do you know if you’re accepted into the Oct cohort?

The application process is quick, I am not sure they look at GPA or not and I have all my pre-reqs done piror applying for the program. My rep is Dwayne and he is quick on email and call for question. Dwayne said if you have all pre-reqs done and able to secure student loan with meritize or payment plan then is accepted by the school and they don't have wait list to get in, is different than California school and less competitve. My application process only take a week and I am scheduled for the test out ATI remote protoring exam to challenge for semester 1 which is fundamental of nursing and pharmacology. I would say the process is moving quick as long as you stay on top of it.

Thank you! I’m still waiting on someone to contact me. Hopefully they’ll be quick on it as well.
Zoom meetings once a week per class, they are recorded and uploaded so attendance isn't mandatory. weekly lessons and quizzes are posted due on Saturdays, at least my classes are. There are proctored midterms and finals. No onsite clinicals as of now, however they follow CA nursing board and frame their guidelines off them (we just had an update from the director the other day). You also have Vsims online and care plans, different per class, not due every week but close to it. They're listed on the syllabus. You can complete lessons and weekly quizzes in advance if you get ahead.
Take the gap if youre an lvn, I tested out of fundamentals and pharm. I practiced questions from HESI pn book about a week prior to testing.
