I go in the morning to enroll for my next semester of pre-req's and I have a choice of intermediate algebra (mat 102) or probability & statistics (mat 120). Im an adn student. After i graduate and begin work i eventually (within a year) plan on going part time to get my bsn while im working. Inoticed that a pre-req for the bsn is statistics (mat 211)...Im sure they are not the same class...im assuming 120 is algebra based and 211 is calculus based, again "asuming"...what should I taket his semester? any input or anyone already take them??? ty!

My BSN program allowed any statistics course. There were several offered, depending upon which department you looked under. I took Biostatistics because of the healthcare background and because it met the requirements for health science, my minor. I would take both courses, intermediate algebra and statistics. Why? Most likely you will meet any requirements of different programs that way. Most BSN programs require both intermediate (or college) algebra and statistics. If you go ahead and take both, then you will get math out of the way. JMO

I took P&S because it meets the requirements for a BSN where I live and I'm not good at Algebra.:D

Now, this was my college required math, I had to take Developmental Studies (no credit towards your degree) algebra for 3 semesters because I am an older student that never went to college before now and I tested low on math when I applied to my CC. I never had Algebra in HS.
