I believe that Grossmont Health Occupations and San Diego City College both have an LVN program. I think that might be a better option for you than Maric College because the transfer of credits. You probably would need to go back to Maric to do your RN. There's also National University. At least there, you could get your BSN.
Good luck and welcome to the site.
and need some direction. hi all. i'm new to this forum and nursing as well. i am currently employed with an insurance agency in san diego. however this is not the career i want for the rest of my life. i am very interested in nursing. i would like to work while going to school full time even if i have to cut down my hours at work. i would like to then start working as an lvn while going to school to become an rn. i am currently living in the la jolla area and i was wondering what the best schools are out her as far as nursing programs go. i was looking at maric but heard they are really pricey and you may have trouble with credits transferring down the road. i'd like to get a feel for other current/former students in sd rather than hearing a sales pitch at maric or any other college in this area. thanks for any help/advice you may have for me!
you can check the vn & rn board for nclex % pass rate for any accredited programs.
go to links on top right, select boards of nursing.
