Anyone applying to this program?

Just to let everyone know. I found this on the website

Effective for cohorts beginning May 2011: Upon successful completion/passing of the NCLEX-RN Examination, students will receive a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), and will be able to continue for the Masters of Science of Nursing (MSN; Concentrations available include FNP, Administration, or Education).

So starting in May, everyone will receive a degree upon graduation. :)

Correction: Those who pass NCLEX will be awarded BSN degree...not graduation. Some people who finish the courses but don't pass NCLEX can't say they received a BSN if they don't pass NCLEX..... minor technicality. But you must pay attention to this type of detail. Student's currently enrolled are learning the hard way. Good luck!

Glad I found this thread but it is all very confusing. Is it possible to go to USU, work as an RN, and then eventually do your NP elsewhere? Like will their credits transfer?

I just applied to the ELM prerequisites program, and I was wondering if anyone had any idea of how much financial aid assistance they give you? Do they give just enough for tuition, or a little bit more? It has been a week and financial aid has not gotten back to me. I applied to their Cypress location, but since it is fairly new, majority of my prereq's will be at the San Diego location and I will have to move.

Specializes in No PEDS please.

@Willisybs

They will allow you to request the maximum amount of FinAid so it should be something like this: Sub loan @ $2300 & Unsub Loan @ $6000, and if you have a degree you won't be eligible for the $2300 pell grant. The loans & pell grants are given in 2 disbursements and unlike most colleges, the disbursements are sent directly to the school accounting office where accounting will apply the funds to your account. They call the remaining balance "access" funds and you can make a request to receive those funds. Receiving those access funds can take about a month and a half.

I'm an undergrad and these are the maximum funds I can request. I'm pretty sure students with a degree can request greater amounts of unsubsidized loans.

Did you send in transcripts to the BRN from all the schools you attended or just USU (Interamerican) to take the NCLEX?
