I'm looking to expand my career, I've heard of nurses making 6 figures working for insurance companies. For those working in such field, what are the requirements to get the job, what is the required education; BSN or Masters. and starting salary. Do you like your job, and how many hours do you typically work a day? thank you!

There really isn't just one job with insurance companies - they have a variety of positions and requirements, so it's hard to answer your questions. Try going to the websites for the big companies like Anthem, Aetna, Humana, Cigna, United Healthcare, etc. and look for their careers sections. There are roles in utilization management, utilization review, case management, quality, you name it.
