Hi,

Relatively simple question - should patients who self-inject insulin at home wear gloves?

I thought no - he doesn't need to protect himself from himself....

No, the whole point of gloves is to protect yourself and your other patients. The patient just needs to wash his/her hands before and after the injection.....atleast before. Because most aren't even going to do that...lol

No. However, insulin stinks. If you accidentally spill it or get it on your hands it stinks to high heaven. I've dropped a vial here a home and it broke. P.U.
