Inquisitive inteview questions for a new grad to ask

Published

Hello,

I am considering dialysis nursing. I scheduled a telephone interview appointment with the supervisor at the local dialysis clinic to gather more information regarding the job description.

I am a new graduate and I do not have a lot of nursing interview experience. I have a list of questions ready, but I would like to get your input as to which questions to ask to get the most information. If you have any tips or suggestions, I would greatly appreciate hearing them.

Thank you all so much!!

let them do most of the talking.

Answer their questions, but don't go on and on.

have your list ready.

check off the questions as they answer them, they may answer alot of them when they tell you about the position that is.

ask about hours, week ends, on call if you are in the acute setting.

orientation time, education.

be sure to get a time for a follow up call, or a time that you can call back.

THANK THEM FOR THEIR TIME at the end of the interview and that you look forward to your next contact.

Thanks. I am so nervous and excited about this phone meeting! I appreciate your suggestions very much.
