Inquiry On Nurse Compact Decleration On The License By Endorsement Form

Good day to everyone!

I tried searching for questions related to my concern but unfortunately, there was none. I have a valid Ca Nurse license now and I am planning on working in Texas for some considerable (like 6 months to a year maybe) amount of time. I was filling up the form for license by endorsement and then halt to a stop when I reached section B - Nurse Compact Declaration part. If I stay there for time aforementioned does that mean I should indicate Texas as my primary state of residence? I am not certain yet as to whether I would stay longer there because I have a good hope of coming back to California where my family is situated.

Does that mean that if I work in Texas, it'll be my "home state" for that certain span of time? I am leaning towards the answer yes to this question but I am not quite sure. Hence, I am here asking about this... Please shed me some light.

It's a formal document and I don't want to send the form with a big mishap on the information provided.

Thank you very much for your time.

A quick search reveals the state of Texas residency requirement to be 12 months. Therefore for the purposes of your form, CA is your home state of record.

Thanks Flying_ICU_RN :)

It's a big help... have a good day to you!
