Hi! Could anyone who has taken the CPNE and Sheri Taylor's online workshop please verify that her care plan instructions are what the CE's are looking for? Heard a couple people say it was off a little bit--as we know, "a little bit" = FAIL Thanks for the input!

I sent a careplan to EC, got their feedback and sent the SAME care plan to Sheri to see what her feedback was...it was virturally the same, although in my opinion sheri asked me to be more specific than what EC was looking for...more info = less chance of failing for "leaving something out" i did this 4-5 times, now i just submit to sheri...her in person workshop is wonderful, here online workshop is great too! if you don't understand something you can CALL her and she does respond within 48hrs i've noticed, more quickly if you are testing soon. she offers Mocks that aren't outrageous the day before you test if you are testing in the atlanta area (one reason i chose to go to Atlanta to test)... I think she is right on point and if anything more thorough than others. I'm biased as i said i've already been using the online and have utilized the in-person workshop. =)
whatever you decide to do make sure you are happy with it. EC also offers their own workshop, i couldn't afford it, nor make the dates they had availible near me. i did take their online careplanning conference and wished i would have saved my money...i only got 3 careplans, and sheri has given me 30 already. i am taking the documentation conference through Ec next month, i'll let you know how that goes too. Sheri's study guide is amazing as well and breaks everything down for you.
I did end up going with Sheri's online workshop. I am soooo glad I did! Not only are her careplan instructions clear and helpful, but she has already saved me on the lab stations with little things I had forgotten to think about. Rob's Videos are great as a starting tool but Sheri goes into more particulars. With any of them, I recommend checking against your study guide to make sure the critical elements are the same.
when did all of you start her online workshop? When you got your CPNE date or before that??
I read the study guide a few times through, went through Rob's CPNE for a general idea of everything and tweeked his mneumonics against the study guide once more. After about the first month I started Sheri's online workshop. She is even more in depth with the critical elements so I'm adding details when I practice the mneumonics. For example: on the IV push station she says to draw the flushes & meds up so that the liquid is "crowning" at the tip to avoid any air at all and a bubble can't be made from inverting the syringe upside down, which I wouldn't have thought of. Like I said, she has saved me already with bringing attention to the little things. I am two months away from the CPNE and will decide if one month or two is needed with her as I go along. I'm finding that it took me almost a month to feel like I have a good idea of how things work and memorize the mneumonics. I am just starting to practice the scenarios with a grid I can create from memory now... When are you testing? Good luck!
wow--good luck, I will not test until the summer most likely. I still have LS3 this month then FCCA, so I'm assuming I'll be done with those in April, then take the CPNE in like Late July early August?? AAHHHHH so scary!! Time really flies and before you know it, it will be my turn. I'm hoping to take it in Albany or Syracuse. So I'm guessing that if I take it in August I should join sherri's workshop in June?
