Input recommendation letter request. Does this sound ok?

I'm new to this process and I need a bit of input on whether this sounds good or what changes I can implement to make it sound better?

Dear Professor XYZ,

I'm sending you an email as I passed the NCLEX on 10/1/2015 and I'm starting to apply for jobs at ABC hospital, DEF hospital, and GHI hospital. Would you kindly be willing to write me a strong letter of recommendation and be one of my references for my job applications?

I had my Nursing foundation clinical with you at ABC hospital last fall semester and I enjoyed my clinical rotation working on the geriatric floor under your supervision. It strengthened my confidence and critical thinking skills, expanded my foundation of nursing knowledge and skills, and taught me the importance of prioritization, organization, and excellent time management. Aside from that, it made me realize that I want to work with the geriatric population.

Because of my clinical rotation with you, I know you would be able to speak of my hard work, knowledge and skills, my commitment to continue learning, and my dedication to providing quality care. I will be more than happy to provide you with any materials needed to write the letter. I hope all is well and thank you in advance for considering my request.

Sincerely,

Michelle XYZ

Looks good to me -- assuming that instructor gave you a good grade.
