Initial License in California

Hello everyone,

When should I submit my application for initial license by examination for California?

I am attending school in Arizona, graduating May 8th. The CA BON website says if you are attending a school in CA to submit it 2-3 weeks before graduation, but does not specify for out of state schools.

I am thinking I need to submit it about 2 months before (in the next week or so) but am not sure and don't want to mess it up. My professors don't really know and the hold times for calling the BON are ridiculous.

I'm hoping someone can tell me their experience and give me some advice.

Thank you

Hi! I went through the same process. Applied Nov 6, graduated dec 14, did my fingerprints in CA week of Christmas, and got my ATT on jan 27. Apply soon, you don’t need to wait for 2 weeks until graduation if you are applying from schools outside of CA

Did you take it in your state or did you have to take it in CA?

I will graduate in May2022. Based on your experience, when do you think I should start in order to test right after graduation?

Also, do you mind posting the correct website link you used for the process...I found multiple.

Thank you
