So I am currently in nursing school with the anticipation to graduate with an associates degree this May (2010, as long as I graduate haha) and I am interested in community/public health based nursing. I like the aspect of dealing with the public and teaching primary prevention to illness/disease. I do not however know where to start. Do I need to gain med-surg experience before applying to jobs? If I need experience how long? Will I NEED a further degree to practice? What would be some good resources for me to learn what I can before I graduate? What is the salary range, is it on the lower, average, or higher end of the spectrum?

Hello everyone,

Basically I am looking for any and all possible information related to this particular field so any help would be greatly appreciated.
