Looking for any info concerning working at the VA in the Gulfport/Biloxi, MS area, especially post-Katrina. Also, general living conditions, housing, etc.
Thanks.

Don't work There!!!! I did some manning assist at the Biloxi VA and hated it there. It is disorganized, badly run, and has some of the worst people in the medical field working there. The one exception was the ER. I liked working with pretty much all the people in the ER.
The area is recovering nicely. It will probably still be another couple of years before it looks anything like it did before hurricane Katrina. Housing prices are still a little overpriced, but have started to come back down. No real housing shortage anymore.
