Info on scholarships & grants for BSN

Hi,

I was just accepted to an accelerated BSN program starting in May here in New Jersey.

Can anyone offer some suggestions as to scholarship/grant money available for a second degree bachelor student? I'm having much difficulty finding any scholarship/grants allocated since I already have a bachelor's degree. The few I have found on sites like Johnson + Johnson are like $500 - $1000 but have such specific criteria i'm excluded. I also found AACN but my school is not listed with them and therefore I don't qualify again.

Did you inquire at the nursing office and financial aid at your school? Yes there are extremely few scholarships for second bac candidates especially in nursing when there is already a surplus of nurses (new and inexperienced) in the NY/NJ/PA area. Try your school first. Sometimes there are school based grants and scholarships that you may qualify for.
