Hey all, I was trying to find out about possible shadow positions or internships for correctional nursing. I am currently in nursing school and.graduate in 8 months..in my.state I.know.you.can.apply for.a position at a jail/state prison a month.before you graduate and also work with your temporary permit before you actually take the state boards..Is there a way I.could.shadow a nurse at a site or do an internship before.I graduate though? Any advice would help! Thanks

Shadowing is usually part of orientation - which means that you won't be doing it without a license.

I know in the jail I work at, they don't allow interim permit nurses or shadowing. This may be different for different areas and states. I'm in Cali
