Hi everyone, I just applied to be the infection control nurse for the facility I work at. I ahve worked here since februrary 2011. I currently hold a RN, ADN I am going to school for my BSN. Nursing is my second career the first being education. I believe that infection control should mostly be about prevention and education. I would like to know what types of things may be asked during an interview and what the job may fully intail. Currently they don't have a job description for it. I know I may be a new RN but I was an LPN for a year before I got my RN. I am always asking insightful questions and willing to go the extra mile. Any advice?

How did the interview go?
It went well. I did not get the infection control position, but I did get the education coordinator position. Which utilizes my first degree in education.
