Independent private duty nurse New Hampshire

Specialties Private Duty

Published

Hello,

I have been gathering information on becoming an independent private duty nurse in Pediatrics. I have worked for an agency for 20 years and the work has been fantastic but the salary is very low. I have heard that people are compensated much better if they bill Insurance directly after obtaining an NPI number. Unfortunately there's a lot of information out there but I'm having a hard time tying it together. Is there anyone that has experienced specifically in New Hampshire or would be willing to be a resource to me? I appreciate any help.

I am experienced in withholding my own taxes and already carry my own insurance so those are not areas that I need information in.

Thank you in advance!

Ruth

The people at the state department of human services can help you, Apply for a NPI number and send an email to the folks that cover PDN services. They can walk you through the steps and help with billing and coding questions.
