Is it possible to contract with a hospital or VMS weekly pay or will contracts state that pay will be a lump sum at the end of the contract regardles of if you work directly with the hospital or with a VMS?

Only the facility you will be working for can answer that question. Just remember, you need to file your income taxes quarterly, if you are working as an independent contractor.

Yes, quarterly filing is necessary.  Are you an independent nurse contractor?
