RRNA = Resident Registered Nurse Anesthetist

SRNA = Student Registered Nurse Anesthetist

Not a stupid question. A few schools use Resident to recognize that RNs have a professional degree and are pursuing higher education.

I wish more schools would acknowledge this....sounds more respectful that Student Registered Nurse Anesthestist. I think the new national pull is to make us NAGS=`Nurse Anesthesia Graduate Students......but NAGS.....come on. HOw disrepectful!:chuckle

if their is a national pull then its headed by nursing schools and not anesthesia schools I am guessing.
