Inactive Nurse looking for an institution offering a refresher course

Published

Hello,

I'd been out of my profession for 5 years now. But I have worked abroad for 3 years but after having two kids, I decided to be a full time mom and have my own business. But now that my kids are now in the US, petitioned together with their father , I'm wondering if you know some school or hospital here in Manila offering a refresher course for nurses who have been out of the clinical areas for their come back. I tried Philippine Heart Center, but unfortunately they cancelled their training.

I was hoping somebody could help me with this one.

I'm not sure if there is a refresher course offered specifically for inactive nurses there in Manila. Secure your professional license and maybe (since I'm not definite about it) present some educational units to them. Then attend those inservices offered by the tertiary or specialty hospital like National Kidney and transplant Institute. Of course you have to pay the enrollment fee for (NISTER or Renal Inservice). I think Renal Transplant inservice will take you 4 months to complete before you get certified but it's better than nothing right? So keep posting and maybe I can find some answers for you but no promises okay.

Also try St. Luke's Medical Center. I know they offer post graduate courses there too. I used to work there years ago but it was not to difficult back then. Goodluck! And keep posting!:typing

try pgh. they have a program (4 months, i think) for registered nurses who have been inactive for more than 5 years. i don't know what's the name of the program though.

they also have a training program called advancement program for clinical nursing. it is offered to newly grad registered nurses and those inactive for not more than 5 years. it is a 6 months training program offered twice a year.

the slots are limited and the selection process is very competitive. better inquire early about the screening dates & schedule of their trainings. it fills up very quickly. contact # then connect to dnet (dept. of nursing education & training). one downside about their training program is that you have to pay them for it. i hope this helps. good luck!

please share phone numbers and contact info via pm, not be posting them. this site is googled all over the world and you would not want them to make it to someone's spam list.

thanks for posting the information, by the way about this program.

training programs always require payment.
