In Wonderment about the Possibilities. Were you?

Published

Hello! I've been in my industry for about 10 years, I'd originally been groomed for the healthfield in high school, but I just wasn't really ready.

So now as I get ready to begin some pre-req's (well the sciences) I'm beginning to wonder. I'd wanted to go to an evening LPN program (b/c I have to work full-time) but my schedule wouldn't allow for that until now & I have my eye on an evening RN program now.

Point is, I'd lurked on this forum for YEARS until now. I'm seeing a lot of posts regarding the inability of new grads to locate employment. I'm wondering if after school, I'll be able to support myself & my child. I'll have to make it work as long as I can going into school, but I still wonder.

Did any of you wonder or are wondering about your options after school? The economy affects every industry no exceptions. In time it will turn around but what did some of you do until you got a nursing job? (Or what are some of you doing while you hunt for one?)

I'm married, so I will continue to be a drain on my lovin' hubby until I get a job. :D

I know...not helpful...but humor is the only thing that keeps me from banging my head against a very hard surface due to the frustration that my unknown employability provokes in me.

Lol! I got ya! Well I'm married also but there's no way we can survive without the income I make now. Sooooo..... hmm....
