Now that you are in the CRNA program and knowing what you know now, what would you do differently before starting the program?
I am all done with CRNA school so since I have been there I will answer. ENJOY EVERY MINUTE YOU HAVE ONCE YOU GET ACCEPTED!!!! DON'T STUDY OR EVEN THINK ABOUT IT. SPEND TIME WITH FRIENDS, FAMILY, ETC. GO ON A GREAT VACATION, ETC.
I agree with post #1......
If I could go back:
I would take a vacation: a good one. Get drunk, laugh, take pictures, be carefree.....focus later.
I know that feeling of wanting to try to read something/ try to prepare, but really: its not going to make a difference. I haven't been on a vacation since way before school started... I sure wish I did it before I had all these thoughts in my head :)
Have fun!
My dad keeps telling me to save more money. Mind you, I put a great deal of it away. However, since I know I'm going to be applying to school within the next year or so, I plan to enjoy my "free" time. I don't have any classes this summer (organic chem starts in the fall). I'm going to Argentina this summer for a week with friends. I just built a new HTPC. I probably don't "need" to do these things, but these are things I won't have time to do once I'm in school.
i would've worked a bunch and saved my pennies.... i was told "oh, there's plenty of loans and $$$ for school once you are in. don't worry."
wrong!!!
it is very, very difficult to pay a mortgage, car note, etc. with the loans the school gives. my husband picked up a second job (yeah, i am super-lucky to have such a supportive mate!!):redbeathe:redpinkhe:heartbeat
but like others have said, take a vacation. it will be the last one in a long while!!!!
and my program is an msn--i wish i could've gotten some of the nursing core classes out of the way. it would certainly lighten up the case load so i could focus on the fun classes!!
