I am a big advocate for patient education.I have been teaching childbirth classes for 6 1/2 years. I would like to extend this to our ante-partum patients. Many times I have had patients who have been in the hospital for weeks to months with their first pregnancy. And they would like to know what's going to happen to them in L&D. So what I would like to know is what DVD'S do you like best? I'm looking for lady partsl deliveries of twins, c/section of multiples (twins and triplets), unmedicated labors and medicated labors. Also pitocin induction. I've seen the catalogs but I would like to know is which ones have you seen and which would benifit the patient best.

I praise you for taking this initiative!!! I have no ready sources at this point as we don't do long-term antepartal patients. But I will ask our childbirth instructor if she has any idea for you. Thank you for taking the time to do this for your patients.

I have a review copy of a set of DVD's from InJoy Videos - the ones I have are aimed at nurses so not exactly what you are looking for, but I was really impressed with the quality and graphics of the set that I have. The Family Health Library at the hospital I am at now has their childbirth videos for our long term antepartum patients to watch. They seem to have a large variety - check them out.
Hope that helps,
