Hello everyone. I need as much info as possible about Nursing!!!
Im interested in helping people, actually its my passion to give back. My friend recently suggested American Red Cross. I am very excited about it, and it seems just right for me! I looked into it, and it seems that I need to at least have certain qualitfications. You know like (nurse stuff) lol. Well basically im asking, what kind of degree should I look into getting if I want to get into American Red Cross? I tried browsing the web and I have came up with nothing! Any advice would be much appreciated. I need to know whether to get a CNA, BSN, or ASN, etc.....
Please help me. I hate to put so much time into schooling for something I could have already started.
Thanks.....

The above website is your local ARC chapter. There are always volunteer opportunities - nursing or otherwise, but you need to know that paid positions with ARC chapters are very hard to come by. More than likely, you would want a BSN to be competitive, but networking through the student nurse volunteer program (earn your 10hr pin!) will help you to give a leg up on those paid positions, too.
HTH!
