Hello everyone, my name is Amber and I am in college for nursing. I have a nursing class research assignment and I would like to interview a NICU nurse.
If possible could you please answer the following questions.
- What are the typical tasks on the job?
- How many patients do you handle?
- What types of patients do you work with?
- What is your job setting?
- What challenges do you face?
- What are the rewards of this job?
Thank you all very much, any response will be highly appreciated.

We get these requests a lot. How can you verify that you are actually interviewing a nurse? Or for that matter a NICU nurse? I'm sure your instructor does not want you to "interview" someone via the Internet. The whole point of an interview is to communicate face to face, something you will have to do a lot of in the nursing profession.
I woule suggest going to a hospital cafeteria & hanging around there. Offer to buy a NICU nurse a coffee or snack. Good luck!
