Hello all.

I am in VA and was recently terminated for failing a drug test. Was drug tested for suspicion of diversion. Pending BON investigation following legal advice to voluntarily enroll in HPMP. I have completed intake and awaiting contracts to be signed. I have been getting treatment for my opioid addiction through an outpatient treatment center and have been doing suboxone treatment for one month. The treatment center I'm going to consists of weekly drug screens, hour long therapy session, and talking to NP about how MAT is going.

I have read through some forums and am so grateful for this website. Looking for any advice from those who have been in or are in HPMP.

I have tried one NA meeting and it just wasn't a good fit. I have been agnostic / atheist since a young age and am trying to find spirituality in my life. Looking for suggestions on NA/AA groups in the Hampton roads area or virtual.

TIA!

Hi are you still on here? I just joined HPMP got caught diverting and looking for someone to chat with! Please let me know hope you're well!

I've completed the program and would be happy to chat or answer questions anyone has.

I have a few questions Recovering RN, been in HPMP a few months now. I keep hearing horror stories, people being asked to go back in for costly evals/rehab etc while claiming to have sustained sobriety. This seems like such a money dump, the place I went for IOP virtually (MODERATOR EDIT - PLEASE DO NOT POST IDENTIFYING INFORMATION) continues to send me outrageous bills and then no one from billing ever answers or calls back. Like how does virtual IOP cost almost 60k, unreal. How was your experience? Sorry but feeling pretty defeated...

Additionally will any reports on the DHP website you have go away now upon completion? I can't get a straight answer for this

The only time I heard of anyone being asked to go back in for evals and return for treatment was when there was a relapse and positive screens meaning truly positive screens. I had a few issues with abnormal screens and was never asked to have any evals or return for therapy or treatment. I also was very honest with my case worker and she trusted me. There were never any shady issues or concerns with my sobriety.  I also did an IOP and did have medical bills mostly due to not being able to work. I did find a place that would offer self-pay rates, and I also applied in the beginning for Medicaid and did get approved for a few months and it helped with some of the bills. I eventually had to just go on payment plans. I felt very overwhelmed and defeated in the beginning. Once I was approved to work an RN job again things did improve and with more sobriety, things improved as well.  It's a long road but it does get better, less overwhelming, and does end.

I believe it depends on your specific circumstances. None of my reports or records were ever public or posted. I was granted a "stay" and nothing would ever be made public unless I failed to hold up my end of the contract and violated my terms. It was basically sealed. I do know others who were not granted "stays" and their reports and records have remained on the website and have never been removed.

OK thanks so much for taking the time to give me this info I really appreciate it. And congratulations on finishing I wish you all the best!
