Ok I need some guidance. I am currently finishing up my medical assistant degree. I graduate I December 2010. I am trying to be enrolled in nursing school in January. (if possible) I have already taken most of the required prerequisites like A&P I & II, microbiology, English I & II, college algebra, pharmacology, psychology, sociology. I have researched plenty nursing schools and I've picked about 8. Do I apply to all of them being that they are so competitive? I'm going to one college at the end of the month. I am so excited but overwhelmed at the same time. What should my next step be? Any help would be appreciated.

Personally, I would make a list of each school and what their nursing pre-reqs are. Then order the schools from most desirable to least. Also make note of admissions dates and any other relative information. Apply to as many schools you are comfortable with and have met their requirements (I applied to one, while others apply to a dozen, its up to you).
I'm not sure of the schools you chose but you might have a hard time finding a class that starts in January; the schools I applied to require application in the fall for cohorts the following summer/fall or spring. You might have missed the deadlines for this spring.
Good luck!

hi,
You would have to check out the admission requirements and I'm sure they are all different so some of them you probably won't be able to apply too. there is always something that one school require but the other doesn't so just make sure that what you have matches the school that you apply to
