im just new in this site and i found this site very helpful.

im very confused and kinda problematic because of the situations i am right now. i know that there are several topics which could answer my querries but i really need somebody who could help me nor advise me on which thing to chose and things better to do.

im really confused on which state to choose for my nclex-rn. am i going to choose mississippi? or vermont?

i newly passed the nov 2008 nle here in the philippines.

i have an aunt working as a teacher in mississippi and shes the one who supported me financially in my nursing studies. because on that, i want to work in mississippi with her.

i had searched the mississippi bon which is http://www.msbn.state.ms.us/pdf/rn1stwrite.pdf and found that the form was posted last 08/2001. is there a new application for which i can download?im worried because some says that ms processing for nclex application takes a long time for them to respond whether if they allow you to take the exam. does ms really requires me to take the cgfns first before the nclex?

regarding vermont... i just make it as one of my option because i found there appication forms has step by step instructions which i found a little bit easier for me to accomplish. and also most of my reviewmates chose vermont as there state. i had already downloaded their new application form. and started to comply with the requirements. problem starts to come in again because as i've said i just newly passed the nov 2008 nle and the vermont bon requires a licensed number. i have on hand the certification that i passed the exam with its rating from the prc. i've been to prc and show the verification of license form but they need the professional identication card (for nurse) for them to sign the verification of license form for my vermont application. and my licensed will be released 4 to 5 months from now. am i going to wait for that 4-5months? or just submit my application with just certification and rating from the prc? but how about that verifiaction of license form if not yet signed? what will i do now?

see how really confused i am on what to do? i really need help and advise because i dont want to just wait for a long period of time and doing nothing.

any help and advise from you nurses will be a great help for me to decide on things.

You have to wait for your Phil. license to come out which would take 3-4 months or even more than that. PRC wont issue you the Licensure Verification form from VT if you dont have a copy of your PRC ID yet. I also had the same dilemma as you way back. I passed the June 2008 NLE and got my license card only last Feb 2009. It was only then that I started processing my reqts in VT. I got an approval to take the exam a month after I mailed all the necessary documents. I suggest you send your documents to VT BON if it is already complete 'cause incomplete documents would further slow down the process of your application.
