I'm a little conflicted!

Nurses Career Support

Hello, all! I'm still slightly new to this site, but I need some career advice!

I have my CNA, that I got in March of 2015 and as of now, I'm working in an Assisted Living Facility, which I do adore! But I would love to work in a hospital!

At the end of December 2014, I got hired at the hospital for a dietary job. I went through orientation, but finding out how hectic my CNA class/clinical schedule was, I decided it was best to quit the job (I started CNA in January 2015). But instead of giving a notice, I just didn't show up for my first official day of work (so stupid, I know).

So my question is, should I try to reapply at that hospital for a CNA job? Or should I let t go, since I pretty much burned a bridge two years ago.

It never hurts to try! If they bring it up or ask you about it in an interview setting, explain what happened honestly and don't get worked up about it. We all make mistakes. But, if you're actively job searching it's best to apply at a number of places anyway, so go ahead and apply at that hospital and others. That's what I would do :) Good luck!
