  1. I definitely planned on giving two weeks and not anything shorter than that, due to not wanting to burn bridges because I do like everyone there. Thanks so much for the help though!
  2. Hello, everyone! I currently work in an Assisted Living Facility The DON nor the administrator are there on the weekends, which is the only time I go in. I got offered a new position, but it wasn't set in stone until today. I went into orientation and signed everything and I start orientating on the floor on Tuesday! So I'm curious as to how I should give my notice if no one is there? Slip it under their doors? Or go in during the week? I obviously need to give it ASAP, but I feel like just slipping it under their door is unprofessional.
  3. Hello, all! I'm still slightly new to this site, but I need some career advice! I have my CNA, that I got in March of 2015 and as of now, I'm working in an Assisted Living Facility, which I do adore! But I would love to work in a hospital! At the end of December 2014, I got hired at the hospital for a dietary job. I went through orientation, but finding out how hectic my CNA class/clinical schedule was, I decided it was best to quit the job (I started CNA in January 2015). But instead of giving a notice, I just didn't show up for my first official day of work (so stupid, I know). So my question is, should I try to reapply at that hospital for a CNA job? Or should I let t go, since I pretty much burned a bridge two years ago.
  4. So I'm starting my clinicals on Tuesday at a Long Term Care Facility and I am beyond nervous for it. Obviously because it's my first time and I don't know what to really expect for the first couple of clinical shifts. I've worked in a healthcare before, in food service at a nursing home, but I could only do so much for the residents. Now that I'll be able to do more, I'm so nervous. Any advice? That would be greatly appreciated.
