UIC's GEP Fall 2014

U.S.A. Illinois

Published

Just looking to see if anyone else out there has applied to UIC's GEP for Fall 2014. I just finished my application.

I have an undergraduate degree (1994) from Iowa State in Art & Design and a Master's degree (1996) from UIC in Art Therapy. Hopefully my alumni status will increase my chances.

I live in the western suburbs of Chicago and, if accepted, will commute.

How about you?

the emails are coming!!!! the emails are comminnngggg!

I got accepted too! Don't worry about being on the wait list, that's still good news- there are always people who turn down their acceptance offer :)

So, does anyone know if the referral to the Grad College for a decision is just a formality, or is there really a chance that we won't be admitted?

YAYYY!!!! :)

"Congratulations! I am pleased to inform you that the Graduate Admissions & Academic Standards Committee has recommended your admission for the Fall 2014 Graduate Entry Program at the Chicago campus.

The College of Nursing can only recommend admission into a graduate program. The final decision will be made by UIC’s Graduate College. Provided your admission is also supported by the Graduate College, you will receive a formal letter of admission by mail within four weeks. In the meantime, you will be mailed a letter of acknowledgement from the College of Nursing within the coming 2-3 weeks."

the adviser just told me that 99% of the time the university approves, so that it is basically just a formality yes! :)

I was accepted :) Congrats everyone! Sarsot, I know someone else who was on the waitlist and got an offer like a few weeks later. I'm rooting for you!!

congrats, me too! *high five*
