Hi, I am really worried about the point system to get into PrairieStateCollege nursing program. Is anyone else out there applying for this years nursing entry? Have you guys heard of the lowest or maybe highest points that you need to get in? Thank you & goodluck to you all.
For anyone that may be feeling down about not getting in, please do not be discouraged about not getting in. If I told you guys about my whole journey, we would be here all day. I will say this...I actually started the application process last year but I did not finish the application process because I ended up not going to take the HESI. I went back and forth with myself on deciding if I would complete the process or not. I was taking A&P 2 at the time and had not taken Micro yet. By the time it was time for me to take the HESI, I decided I wasn't going to take it. I knew I could pass it but I also knew that I had not put the time and effort in to studying to receive a score I would be proud of. I made the decision to just finish all my classes and then apply. I studied (mostly math) for the HESI this time around and it paid off.
Hey Congrats Success2017. I am so happy for you. I didn't receive a letter yet probably coming today but I did go see Nicole. She let me know I didn't get accepted due to my rank score. She also let me know that to make my application stronger I would need to finish up micro and ap2. She did let me know that 90% of students accepted competed all general courses. I will be applying next year & also retaking the HESI. I'll be studying all summer & fall for HESI to try & get a higher score other than 76. FYI. She did not tell me my rank score* I believe it was 130 due to my calculations.

I got a letter yesterday saying I was accepted. It came separate from the regular mail. The mail carrier came to the door and had me sign twice for it.
