Need some of your expertise. Have a gent with a nephrostomy tube and an ileocystostomy tube. The neph tube I can get a mental picture of, but where, inside his body, is the ileo tube?

They have used a section of the ileum to replace the damamged section that they removed.
Thanks, Suzanne.....so the tube is in the remaining part of the bladder?
It is attached to the remaining part of the bladder and brought out thru the skin where the stoma is. The iluem is one of the nicest parts of the body, it is able to take on many different functions, can be used to repair a damaged esophagus, the create a bladder entirely from it, to replace a section of colon, etc. A true multi-purpose body part. Hope that this helps.........
Thanks twice suzanne. Gotta visual! Needed to teach myself so I could teach my NAC's.
