Yes, what a panic!!! I am an older grad, over 40. After months of looking for a job and posting hundreds of apps n resumes, I was finally blessed with a call back. The furthest thing from my mind at this point was of one of my medications testing positive. To make matters worse, the employers drug screen person did away with the urine before it could be sent out for testing. The test center is in a far west state. I retook the urine test on a thursday, and was called by the Lead over human resources and told that i would not be starting orientation the following monday and more than likly would have to wait two weeks for another orientation provided my results were back. My point is, even if you dont think you might test positive, take a look in your med book for all, and I mean all of your medications to see if they will make a test positive. I was told a PPI, Efexor which I take for my ADHD, and even diabetes, (which I have as well) can all cause a test to be positive. I just recieved the call today and was told I tested positive for an amphetamine. Orientation is back on after waiting for two more weeks. When going in to take your test I recommend taking the card that comes with the drug sheet. Do your research and you might even want to let the tester about a possible positive result, give them the sheets, and make sure they do not dispose of the urine. Will save you alot of time and frustration. With no money for rent, I can now breath a little more easier because I know its on the way!!!
