If Nursing is what I truly want to do, should I not give up?

Nursing Students Pre-Nursing

I'm in grade 10, and I'm just now learning basic math. Right now I'm focusing on fractions, decimals, and percentages. When I was in elementary school, the teachers were racist and didn't like me because I was iranian. Because of that, they didn't teach me any math or help me when I needed it. Now I'm very behind in math and disheartened.

I am not sure what you are asking but if math is your struggle, perhaps you need some extra help. Math is funny, it is one of those things that can be hard to understand, but once you get it, you have it for good. Keep working on it, and do as many problems from your book as you can. As for nursing, if you truly want to do it, nothing can stop you except you. You are still a little bit away, and if you don't do well the first time around, try it again.

For example if you only get a C in a pre-requisite, take it again. I have found with experience that the more times I see a material the more I know it. I have taken 7 biology courses where they all teach meiosis and mitosis, and it was only until recently I was able to 'textbook' define it. The same goes for a lot of anatomical functions.

So keep at it, and if you really want to get it, then go for it. Don't let other people tell you you can't and if they are being racist then poo on them. Rock it all!!! If your teachers want to be racist, then kick butt, and show them what you know!!

Good Luck!
