If not NLNAC accredited but State

Nursing Students Pre-Nursing

Published

I'm a pre-nursing student who has finished all pre reqs and I've now narrowed my choices down to two schools. Both schools are based out of hospitals. Upon completion i will have my ASN.

Problem: Both Schools are accredited by New York State and Boards of Education. One is school is a Candidate for NLNAC but has not yet had their review. Once I've finished and pass the NCLEX, if I apply for a position that says "must have graduated from an acredited school" are schools that do not have NLNAC or CCNE accreditation considered accredited by hiring hospitals and agencies?

I was trying to find out the same answer to this question.
